about

The 6th record from rap artist, Bakelendt, is something like a journal kept during the winter months. A journal kept when the nights are cold and there is war on the other side of your home's walls. A journal kept to document the war going on inside the walls of one's own skull. This is a soundtrack for watching the toads at ponds, dumping corpses in lakes; little tunes for repenting to Christ for the aforementioned murders; this is music for long winter nights, being lost in the forest, with little warmth aside from the heat of something supernatural... or nuclear.

The Nuke Gave the Serpent Feathers

May all animals be of comfort and great companionship to every man now and in the times to come.
May we humans leave the domain of the animal kingdom, and prepare ourselves for the Kingdom to come.

From places where the sky is wholly dark, development of a chronicle began. In the midst of the shrouding, a vivid radiance was caught in my retina. And now I can never let it be.
